Exhibit Your Visual Art in Local Banks and Library
Bank of Romney and FNB Romney (downtown and Sunrise Summit) and the Hampshire County Public Library have partnered with Hampshire County Arts Council to exhibit work by HCAC member artists on an ongoing basis. Every 6 weeks three visual artists hang their work on the professional quality Walker Display System in one of the banks. Six weeks later, another 3 artists display their work. Get local exposure in secure, climate-controlled, high-traffic environment, and sometimes sell a piece or two. The banks like it because it draws people in and customers spend more time in the bank. They often publicize the exhibits in their Hampshire Review ads and Facebook pages. If you have not yet taken advantage of this opportunity to exhibit your art but would like to, please send an email to HCAC board member Ken Caldwell (639KLC@gmail.com), who is coordinating this program. He can answer any questions and help arrange your first bank exhibit. Bank of Romney's Sunrise Branch has also asked to participate, so we'll be needing a fourth artist.

The visual arts side of the HCAC offers a variety of opportunities for visual artists and those interested in the visual arts. Individuals may share their talents at art exhibits and festivals, learn new techniques and/or art processes in workshops and informal groups, or teach children and adults at art camps or in seminars.  Member artists are featured in the Member Showcase section of this website.

A Photographers Group meets monthly first Mondays at 10AM at the Hampshire County Public Library. All levels of skill are welcome. Each month's session has a theme and participants are asked to bring photos that reflect that theme (it may be a technique, a subject, a color...) to share and discuss. The Photography Group mounts an open Photography Show upstairs at the Library each February.

The ninth Hampshire Highlands Studio Tour is scheduled for October 7-9, 2017. For more information contact Ibi Hinrichs at 703-655-1767 or email email address for Studio Tour coordinator

Again this fall HCAC is participating in Capon Bridge Founders Day Weekend. Lynne Dolinger-Payne will be coordinating the Artists.

On-Going exhibits are regularly scheduled in community venues through our Art In Public Places endeavor.
