Michael Anderson
HCAC Member
Romney-based designer Michael Anderson has more than three decades of experience in graphic, print and visual design. He has also been active in Hampshire County’s creative community as a musician and previously served as president of HCAC.

Dale Brady
Actor & Author
Dale Brady loves theatre, writing, watercolor painting and believes that exploring our creativity through the arts is one of the most important things that we can do in our life.

Liz Braun
Visual Artist
Elizabeth “Liz” Braun is a glass artist whose work includes stained, cast and sculptural glass. She founded Elizabeth’s Glassworks and works from Slanesville, West Virginia; her glass-and-slate sculpture Holding On earned second prize in HCAC’s 2026 Spring Fine Arts Show.

Bill Calvert
Visual Artist
A longtime Hampshire Highlands Studio Tour artisan, Bill Calvert is known for wood-turned bowls, platters and vases as well as metal and horseshoe-nail art. His Romney studio has long been part of Hampshire County’s artisan community.
John D’Amico
Visual Artist
Romney-based John D’Amico is a professional commercial illustrator, product designer, fine artist, graphic designer and mural artist. His career has included work for companies such as The Franklin Mint, Bradford Exchange and Disney, and he has helped design and create murals in Romney.

Jan Dodgins
Visual Artist
Jan Dodgins is an Augusta-based nature photographer whose work is inspired by Hampshire County’s wildlife and landscape. A longtime photography and graphic-arts educator, her images have been published and recognized at national, regional and local levels.

Barbie Hillenbrand
Visual Artist
Barbie Hillenbrand is a Hampshire County artist working in watercolor and pyrography. Her work often captures action, emotion and expressive subjects, and she has been juried as a Tamarack artist with work shown throughout West Virginia and the region.

Ibi Hinrichs

Photographer and dabbler in watercolor, acrylic, print making, ceramics, gourd work and sculpture.
I have lived in Augusta, WV for 20 years and enjoy all aspects of art. I do it strictly for the pleasure now and sell pieces at shows and to individuals when someone likes my work.

Nancy Judd
Visual Artist
A longtime Hampshire County resident and retired educator, Nancy Judd works across painting, photography, knitting, pysanky and other traditional arts. She has taught and performed throughout the community and continues to share her skills through classes and local arts organizations.
Sibyl MacKenzie
Acrylic Painting
Sibyl MacKenzie works with realistic imagery in settings where fantasy meets reality, exploring the line between inner and outer worlds. Her layered acrylic paintings on canvas and hardboard have been exhibited in galleries across West Virginia and throughout the United States.

Christopher Madden
Figurative Painter & Master Engraver
Christopher Madden is a primarily figurative painter and master engraver whose work is informed by decades of banknote engraving and close study of master paintings. At Rushing River Art Studio in Augusta, he creates original work and teaches, bringing disciplined drawing and traditional technique to contemporary subjects.

V. Lynn Moore
Visual Artist
V. Lynn Moore is a longtime Hampshire County artist whose work spans painting, plein air and stained glass. Her work has been featured through the Hampshire Highlands Studio Tour, local exhibitions and community arts events in Romney.
Jim Morris
Musician & Instrument Maker
Jim Morris is a Hampshire County musician and instrument maker known for handmade string instruments and canjos. He has performed old-time Appalachian music with regional ensembles including Hay Fever and Junk Mountain Band and regularly shares his craft through demonstrations and workshops.
Robin Pancake
Visual Artist
Retired Hampshire High School art teacher Robin Pancake is known for original stained-glass designs ranging from small suncatchers to large panels and windows. A founding HCAC member, she has also worked in watercolor, collage and community arts education.

Victoria Pendragon
Artist & Author
Paw Paw artist and author Victoria Pendragon creates work centered on transformation, growth and the inner life, using acrylic, collage and mixed media. She holds a BFA and is also the author of several books.
Joanne Snead
Visual Artist
Joanne Snead moved to Hampshire County from the Annapolis area, an influence visible in many of her carved birds. She has served HCAC as a board member and helped revive and direct the Summer Art Camp for local youth.
Melissa Snell
Visual Artist
Melissa Snell’s HCAC portfolio features photography of wildlife, landscapes and seasonal scenes. She has also served the Arts Council as a director and helped coordinate Hampshire Highlands Studio Tours and HCAC fine arts shows.

Douglas Zaruba
Visionary Artist
I am a visionary artist with a strong focus on abstract and minimalist spiritual landscapes. I embrace the power of space rather than form, trying to paint the vast power and intelligence of stillness.
